Château
Péchaurieux is situated on the top of the hillside dominating the
Dordogne river valley. Silhouettes of abandoned windmills cover
the hilltops near the estate. The view is outstanding, below, the
medieval township of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande
, with Bergerac
in the background.

The
imposing noble house with its charming dovecote, surrounded by
various types of trees in the middle of huge park, is a haven of
freshness and tranquillity.
Nature
is in harmony, made up of differing sorts of cultivation mingled
side by side, vineyards, fields of corn, woodland.
This
landscape, through its orderly variety, creates a sensation of
balance and peace. For a long time hunting has been forebidden ;
game
abounds and it is not unusual to see roe deer, wild boars, hare,
herons and hoopoes...
